Une dispute pour une bague,
Une honte qui commençait à seize ans
Et s'étendait à toute chose.
Puis soudain la querelle a sombré:
Chacun a ressenti la même chose,
Et chaque vie est devenue
Une martingale géniale,
Un jeu absolument imperdable.
La vie n'a donc jamais été meilleure
Qu'en mille neuf cent soixante-trois
